The Ulan-Ude locomotive car repair plant (UU LVRZ, a member of the LocoTech group of companies) mastered the passenger electric locomotive EP1M. Such opinion has been issued by the Interdepartmental Commission, confirming the readiness of the enterprise for the mid-scale repair of this type of machines. 

Thus, UU LVRZ currently performs repairs of 12 locomotive series - a record figure among all the locomotive repair plants in the holding. 

The mastering of a new locomotive series repair was made possible by the joint efforts of the whole staff of Ulan-Ude LVRZ, in particular, the specialists of design and technology department, quality assurance and logistics, manufacturing unit and others. 

EP1M is an AC electric locomotive. It is produced at Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (included in JSC Transmashholding). 

Designed for driving passenger trains on the railways with a track width of 1520 mm. It can be operated at ambient temperatures from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees Celsius. 

The locomotive is operated at Oktyabrskaya, Zabaikalskaya, Severo-Kavkazskaya, Yugo-Vostochnaya, Privolzhskaya, Gorkovskaya, Dalnevostochnaya railways. 

The Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair plant is a leader among the LocoTech locomotive repair plants. This is one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Republic of Buryatia. 

In 2018 Ulan-Ude LVRZ released 944 locomotive sections after repair, which is a historical high for the company. 

UU LVRZ carries out medium and capital repairs of locomotives, warranty service and upgrading of locomotives with extension of service life, repair of components and assemblies, production of spare parts, development of new repair technologies. 

The investment program of the Ulan-Ude LVRZ for 2019 exceeds 600 million rubles.
