LocoTech Group of Companies won the “1С: Project of the Year 2017” competition in the nomination “The Best Project in the Area of Integrated Enterprise Resource Management (ERP)”. The victory was brought by a project to automate the IT systems of the company, aimed at improving the efficiency of the largest service structure in Russia for the repair of traction rolling stock. 

The project was implemented in the period from October 2016 to November 2017. During this time, over 2.5 thousand automated workplaces (AWP) were arranged at LocoTech plants throughout the country. 

“1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2” systems help LocoTech to automate the accounting of the locomotives and line equipment repairs, intra-business settlement between plants, processes of inter-plant cooperation, operational calculation of production costs, work with suppliers and other operations. 

Dmitry Sergienko, Managing Director for Development of Digital Technologies at LocoTech, noted: “We systematically introduce modern solutions aimed at optimizing business and production processes in the company. Cooperation with 1C is already traditional for us. And if by the end of 2017 we automated 2.5 thousand working places at our plants, then by the end of 2018 we plan to complete the next stage of system implementation and equip more than 4 thousand working places with it throughout the country”. 

The use of integrated systems on the “1C: Enterprise 8” platform allowed to: create a unified information environment for tracking the status of each nomenclature position from the moment of planning to delivery and transfer to production, ensure planning of production needs, form a procurement plan taking into account stock balances and the possibility of their redistribution between branches and depots, control and optimize the deadlines for the execution of applications. It is especially important that the system greatly facilitates the quality control of the supplied products. 

The international competition of the best projects for automation of management and accounting "1C: Project of the Year" is held in order to identify the advanced users and partners who have achieved maximum success in automating and promoting significant projects implementing the solutions of the “1C: Enterprise 8” system.
