Astrakhan diesel locomotive repair plant (included in LocoTech Group) celebrated its 65th anniversary. On the anniversary day, ATRP released the 16900th diesel locomotive after repair. 

Governor of the Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin, director of the ATRZ Andrei Zolotarev and other officials took part in the festivities. 

The guests could not only walk through the main shops and get acquainted with the products manufactured by ATRZ and the development prospects of the enterprise, but also take a ride on the 16900th diesel locomotive. 

A significant event was the signing of the Agreement on cooperation between the APRZ and the GBPOU JSC Astrakhan State College of Professional Technologies. The agreement was signed for a period of 5 years and provides for cooperation between the Astrakhan TRZ and the secondary educational institution in the framework of the implementation of the plant development programme in the Astrakhan region in terms of creating a personnel reserve. The purpose of the signing of the agreement is to increase the effectiveness of the vocational education system, the creation of new highly skilled workplaces in the enterprise and the formation of its personnel policy. Soon, the education establishment will begin the implementation of the training programme in such important for the ATRZ specialties as a rolling stock mechanic, machine tool operator, etc. 

Congratulatory events ended with the awarding of plant workers with state awards of various level and a festive concert. 

For more than six decades, one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Astrakhan region has gone a long way of becoming and developing, has managed to cope with the difficulties of transition to work under the new economic conditions and gradually increased production, started developing new types of products. 

Today, Astrakhan TRZ is a successfully operating enterprise that is part of the LocoTech Group of Companies. The plant has the possibility to repair traction rolling stock of almost any nomenclature. The plant has a system of voluntary and mandatory certification for railway transport. 

Astrakhan Diesel Locomotive Repair Plant is one of the 10 LocoTech locomotive repair plants. This is the only and unique enterprise in the South of Russia that has the appropriate capacity and experience to perform repair works on shunting diesel locomotives. It carries out medium and capital repairs of locomotives, warranty service and upgrading of locomotives with extension of service life, repair of components and assemblies, production of spare parts, development of new repair technologies.
