Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory (UU LVRZ, part of the LocoTech) has set a new production record in October. The factory has released 82 sections of electric locomotives from repair for the first time in its history.

Thus, growth of volumes of works on the repair of electric locomotives in October amounted to 120.6% compared to the same period last year - 68 sections have been repaired then.

At the same time major overhaul has been carried out on the 28 sections, which is two sections more than scheduled. Increase in volumes of major overhaul totalled 215.4% - in 2016 the figure was 13 units.

As we have previously informed, during the year UU LVRZ has improved the quality of the products released.

Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory occupies a leading position among the 10 locomotive repair factories of LocoTech. This is one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Republic of Buryatia. It performs middle-term and capital overhaul of locomotives, warranty service and upgrading of locomotives with the extension of service, repair of components and assemblies, production of spare parts, development of the new repair technologies.

A large-scale development programme is being implemented at the plant. Thus, investments in upgrading of production facilities at Ulan-Ude LVRZ in 2017 exceed 226 million rubles. These funds will be spent mastering the new types of works, purchasing and manufacturing of more than 300 pieces of equipment. This includes planned acquisition of bridge cranes, compressors and machinery equipment, upgrade of the furnace, production of non-standard equipment.
