B.P. Beschev Yaroslavl electric locomotive repair factory (part of the LocoTech Group of Companies) became a winner of the prestigious contest "For the best work in the area of quality”. Summarizing took place within the scientific and practical conference "Quality Management: Development at the Present Stage" and was held in conjunction with the World week of quality.

On behalf of the Yaroslavl ERZ the award has been received by the Quality Management Sector Nina Prokopova. She noted: “Everyone at the plant deserved this honorary award, we have a right to be proud of our products. We participated in the contest several times, and this is not the first our diploma. This year in June, we had an anniversary, the 105th anniversary of the Yaroslavl ERZ, our company has been providing security and quality of passenger and freight traffic along the country's railways for more than 100 years. Participation in the competition gives us an incentive for an even more intensive development of the quality assurance sphere at the Yaroslavl ERZ".

The competition was established by the Governor of the Yaroslavl region in 1994. More than 40 enterprises and companies of the region took part in it. The winners were determined by a jury composed of representatives of the executive authorities, public and academic organizations. The commission commended the operations of Yaroslavl ERZ on producing the spare parts for locomotives and repair of electric locomotives.

"Enterprises of the Yaroslavl region are actively introducing lean manufacturing processes, improving the standards of quality, safety and environmental protection. Everything says that our products eventually turn out to be of high quality, and so are our services. And this is the focus on the buyer, the consumer"- said the First Deputy Director of the Department of Investment and Industry of the Yaroslavl region Alexander Ermolov.

It is one of the leading companies in the area of repair of electric locomotives series ChS2k, ChS2t, ChS6, ChS7, ChS200, production of brake pads and electrical equipment, parts of cardan gear and traction reduction gear of electric locomotives of the ChS series, wheel sets of the new formation. Currently, the plant is actively developing the repair of electric locomotives of VL80 series.
