Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory (UU LVRZ, part of the LocoTech) has signed contracts for the repair of locomotives with private organizations for more than 1 billion rubles. 

Thus, in March 2017 the plant signed a contract with L-Trans LLC for conducting the medium repair of 57 sections of series 3S5K "Ermak” locomotives. As of October 9 October 33 locomotives have been repaired. 

Also UU LVRZ has signed an additional contract with LocoTech-Promservise LLC for provision of medium repair services of series 3S5K locomotives. Before the end of 2017 UU LVRZ shall release 33 sections of locomotives for this company after repairs. 15 section have been repaired to date.  

 
Ulan-Ude locomotive and car repair factory occupies a leading position among the locomotive repair factories of LocoTech. This is one of the largest industrial enterprises of the Republic of Buryatia. It performs middle-term and capital overhaul of locomotives, warranty service and upgrading of locomotives with the extension of service, repair of components and assemblies, production of spare parts, development of the new repair technologies. 

A large-scale development programme is being implemented at the plant. Thus, investments in upgrading of production facilities at Ulan-Ude LVRZ in 2017 exceed 226 million rubles. These funds will be spent mastering the new types of works, purchasing and manufacturing of more than 300 pieces of equipment. This includes planned acquisition of bridge cranes, compressors and machinery equipment, upgrade of the furnace, production of non-standard equipment.
