23.06.2017 12:00:00 | LocoTech and STM-Service create the joint production at Novosibirsk electric locomotives repair factory

LocoTech and STM-Service  (included in Sinara - Transport Machines holding) report the creation of joint venture based on the Novosibirsk electric locomotives repairing factory (NERZ). The agreement was signed by Director General of LocoTech Aleksey Belinsky and STM-Service CEO Alexander Izmailov. The share capital of the newly created enterprise - NERZ LLC - is distributed between companies in equal shares of 50%.

After July 1, 2017 the joint venture will commence the planned factory repairs of freight direct current locomotives series 2ES6 and 2ES10, will continue the repair programme of passenger locomotives of LocoTech and will also conduct repair of line equipment for STM-Service.

The employees of Novosibirsk electric locomotive repair factory will move to the staff of NERZ LLC, thus preserving the enterprise current team.

Implementation of this project opens up great potential for additional loading of the production capacities of the Novosibirsk electric locomotive repair factory and ensure continuous and rhythmic work of the team. The synergy of two service structures will allow to improve the operating efficiency of the enterprise at the expense of the increase of scope and the development of new operations.

Electric locomotives series 2ES6 and 2ES10 are produced at the "Ural locomotives” factory (joint venture of Sinara Group and Siemens) and belong to the category of the new generation of rolling stock equipped with the most modern equipment.

It is worth noting that NERZ has already mastered the repair of traction motors for electric locomotives series 2ES6. The enterprise has fully trained personnel and production capacities prepared.
