LocoTech Group introduces automated productive resources control system in the service locomotive depots. The system will reduce the company's losses by 30% and generally improve the effectiveness of not just the repair, but also the operation of the Russian railways locomotive fleet. Presentation of the project took place within the framework of the Digital Enterprise conference held in Moscow.

According to the head of Information Systems Development Department of LocoTech Denis Rozver, introduction of automated control systems (ACS) will most effectively meet the demands of customers, optimize and make business processes in the company more flexible.

This will become possible due to the increase of technical readiness factor (TRF - defines the share of working locomotives in general railway fleet), reduction of the unplanned repairs number and service locomotive depots resources. The project is aimed at re-engineering of in-factory management, production management systems, including the prompt provision with inventory values in order to improve the TRF and reduction of cost of traction rolling stock maintenance and repair.

The basic ACS units include the monitoring of the locomotives operation and the technical condition, the accumulation of statistics, generating charts of locomotives repair, in-factory planning, quality and reliability management (maintenance, repair, unscheduled repair), analysis of efficiency.

It is expected that digitalization of the production processes in the repair depot will reduce losses of LocoTech by at least 30% and significantly optimize the cost of key client  JSC RZD. The maximum effect from the implementation of the programme is scheduled to be achieved before the end of 2018.
