On April 14, 2017, top 100 high school students from 40 regions of Russia and Kazakhstan - members of cultural and educational project Lomonosov convoy. Road to the Future visited Yaroslavl electric locomotive repair plant (part of the LocoTech Group). At the Yaroslavl ERZ, a comprehensive programme has been arranged for the participants of the Lomonosov convoy, which included a tour of the factory and museum, a workshop on the operation of the modern waterjet cutting machine. Students were able to see from the inside how a large industrial enterprise operates. Director of Yaroslavl ERZ Andrey Chuvilin welcomed the best students of the country. He noted “We employ 1.5 thousands workers in the factory. 217 of them are professionals under the age of 30. It is they - the younger generation - who bring non-standard production ideas and are the future of the factory. Our enterprise is one of the largest in the region and we aim to attract the active and talented young people, we invite students and graduates for internships and work at the Yaroslavl ERZ". The students were shown an environmentally friendly diesel locomotive TEM-31G and electric locomotive series EP2K. High school students talked to the members of the youth association of ERZ and veterans of the factory, participated in a thematic game. Students also received unique souvenirs made using a waterjet cutting machine. Locomotive Technologies is the industry-largest employer. Over 60 ths. persons work in factories and service locomotive depot of LocoTech. About 14 ths. employees are young professionals under the age of 30. For them, there are professional and personal development, training and personnel reserve programmes. The youth groups are created at the enterprises of LocoTech, the members of which arrange various educational and corporate events, hold venues and voluntary Saturday works. Every year, the most active young professionals take part in the Rally of the Youth. LocoTech Group is a partner of cultural and educational project Lomonosov convoy. Yaroslavl electric locomotive repair plant is one of the oldest enterprises in Yaroslavl. It performs the repair of electric locomotives series EP2K, ChS2k, ChS2t, ChS6, ChS7, ChS200, production of brake pads and electrical equipment, parts of cardan gear and traction reduction gear of electric locomotives of the ChS series, wheel sets of the new formation. Currently, the plant is actively developing the repair of electric locomotives of VL80S series. |
