The LocoTech Group of Companies plans to spend 120 million rubles for personnel development in 2018. It is 16.7% more than in 2017. This was told by the head of the Department of Personnel Development Olga Kanalina during a round table in the "Gudok" Publishing House on April 27, 2018. 

12 650 employees are planned to train for these funds: 1570 employees of management positions (against 1075 a year earlier), 2190 line managers (at the level of the previous year) and 8893 workers (+ 6% compared to 2017). 

LocoTech implements a comprehensive plan for the development of personnel, which uses both traditional, full-time, and modern methods of teaching: webinars, chat-bots, on-line training. 

Thus, since 2015, trainings have been conducted to develop managerial competencies for job levels from the head of the service locomotive depot (SLD) to the branch director. Over the past three years, 532 people have completed the training programme. The "School of Masters" project has been launched. Its main tasks are the development of professional competences, managerial skills of line managers, involving employees in solving corporate tasks. Training is conducted by the heads of branches and SLDs. More than 2,000 craftsmen participated in the project. 

In 2017 the "Change Management" project was implemented. It was attended by 523 people (the heads of the SLDs and members of the staff reserve for key positions). 11 training webinars on the most relevant areas were conducted. 

In 2018, the "Effective Leader" project was launched. In all the SLDs, the trainings will be conducted for deputy heads of depots, department heads and senior foremen. 800 leaders are planned to be trained. 

A great deal of attention from LocoTech is attracted to the development of youth policy. Annually, the company holds more than 1 thousand events for young professionals under the age of 30 years. And in 2017, the strategic youth reserve "Leaders of the Future" was formed, which included 164 people. 

Also LocoTech plans to open a corporate Training centre on the basis of the Ussuri locomotive repair factory in 2018. At present, the registration of the legal entity ANE DPO "Corporate University of LokoTech" is completed. The objectives of its creation are to increase the level of development of technical competencies of personnel and improve the quality of locomotive repair. 

With the opening of the Training centre, it will be possible to form training programmes, taking into account the need for competencies for specific jobs. 

The Training centre will be engaged in the training and professional development of the following trades: rolling stock repair technician, locomotives inspection and repair technician, electrical equipment repair fitter. It is planned to train the secondary professions: slinger and operator of handling equipment, operating from the floor.
