20.06.2019 | LocoTech increased locomotives operational readiness factor by 1.5% to 0.903 since 2016

LocoTech Group increased the operational readiness factor (ORF) of locomotives by 1.5%. Based on the results of 5 months of 2019 the main indicator of the service company efficiency reached 0.903 against 0.89 in 2016. Director General LocoTech Alexander Mavrin told this during the "direct line" with the employees of the JSC Zheldorremmash plants and service locomotive depots of LocoTech-Service from across the country.

Speakers at the "Direct line" were Director General of LocoTech Alexander Mavrin, Deputy Director General for business lines, chairman of the trade union organizations of Zheldorremmash and LocoTech-Service, the top management of the company.

In his opening speech, the Director General stressed the importance of holding such events because they allow to maintain an open dialogue between the company's management and employees and to learn the staff worries. 

The Director of LocoTech also noted that the number of events related to the violation of traffic safety decreased by 38%, hardware failures of the 1st, 2nd category decreased by 16% and unscheduled repairs of locomotives decreased by 5% when compared to the level of 2016 .

In 2019 LocoTech plans to increase the number of locomotives released after repair by 41% compared to 2016. The repair programme approved by the Russian Railways for 2019 amounts to more than 3.4 ths. sections.

LocoTech management told about plans for improvement of working conditions within the enterprise network. It was noted that the investment programme to upgrade the locomotive repair plants facilities in 2019 amounts to more than 3 billion rubles. These funds will be spent on supplying the new equipment, repairing and reconstruction of sanitary facilities, and other activities.

Deputy Director General for Human Resources and Organizational Development Natalia Pletenetskaya summed up the LocoTech staff performance and told about the main directions of social policy in the company. She announced plans for a new collective agreement for the workers of Zheldorremmash and LocoTech-Service, since the effective documents will expire on December 31, 2019. 

In addition, she reported that the next indexation of wages of enterprise employees is scheduled for December 2019. Its amount will be determined during the negotiations with the trade union. 

"Direct line" is a traditional event to maintain communication with the staff of the LocoTech group of companies. Managers answer all the questions from employees live. The employees receive an individual answer to the questions that have not been answered live.

In total, during this "Direct line" the LocoTech management answered more than 100 questions from the employees. Traditionally, the greatest points of interest were the topics of enterprise development strategies, commodities and material provision and social guarantees. 

At the stage of preparation and holding of "Direct line” more than 350 questions from LocoTech employees have been received, including about 150 questions directly during the broadcast. About 300 workers were directly present at the venue of the event, thousands more watched the "Direct line" at the enterprises across the country in a video conference mode. The possibility not only to listen and watch the broadcast, but also to ask questions via a special chat was granted.
