On October 11-12, the Third International Scientific-Practical Conference "Prospects for the development of service maintenance of locomotives" will be held. It is arranged by RUT MIIT and LocoTech LLC.

The purpose of the event is to increase the efficiency of servicing and repairing of locomotives, their reliability, expanding the interaction of LocoTech LLC with universities, research institutes and design bureaus.

The conference participants will discuss issues of integrated management of the technical condition of locomotives throughout their entire life cycle, employee motivation and economic forms of management during M&R (maintenance and repair), improvement and reengineering of maintenance and repair processes.

During the discussions, issues of upgrading of locomotives in depot and repair factories, the influence of operating conditions of locomotives on their reliability, observance of operating conditions, as well as training for the service of traction rolling stock will be touched upon.

Solving all these tasks is impossible without implementing scientific approaches to arranging the works of service locomotive depots, developing prospective technological processes of maintenance and repair, upgrading the locomotives of previous generations, developing management methods and motivating employees.

For participants, visits to the Moscow-Sortirovochnaya service depot (part of the LocoTech Group of Companies) will be arranged.
