The LocoTech Group of Companies for the second time acted as a partner of the International Lomonosov Club. On April 9, 2018 100 of the best schoolchildren in Russia - participants of the project "Lomonosov Train. Industrial Heart of Russia” visited the Chelyabinsk electric locomotive repair factory (part of the LocoTech).

The children saw how one of the largest and most successful enterprises of the Urals and Siberia works. The schoolchildren visited the workshops, looked at the most spectacular production operations, visited the museum and a unique breeding nursery of service dogs in the factory. Particularly interesting part of the excursion was the opportunity to get into the cab of the locomotive driver and to see with the own eyes the process of repair of electric locomotives.

Director of the Chelyabinsk ERZ Yuri Zaitsev stressed that the LocoTech Group in general and the Chelyabinsk ERZ in particular are focusing on the talented and promising young professionals. After being employed, every ambitious and hardworking employee has a chance for career growth. Therefore, such a project as the "Lomonosov Train" is very important for modern youth. After all, the children visit large industrial enterprises, and, therefore, will be able to make sure that it is possible to be a success if working at the plant.

"We hope that the children will like our plant, and they will broadcast the idea of ​​the prestige of the workman further into their environment. And someone, perhaps, will decide to connect their life with the locomotive repair industry and in the future come to work for one of our enterprises", he said.

Employees of Chelyabinsk ERZ showed high school students from Russia and the CIS the process of servicing traction rolling stock and responded to all the questions of interest, as well as introduced the children to the unique production trades.

Executive Director of the ANE "ZVEZDA" Vladimir Skripnichenko noted: "We are glad that the participants of the “Lomonosov Train” were able to visit one of the best enterprises of the railway industry and learn about the demanded working trades. I am sure that this is an important and interesting experience for them and a chance to try on one of the trades at enterprise".

As we have previously informed, the project participants visited the Yaroslavl ERZ, also a part of the LocoTech Group of Companies, in 2017. "Lomonosov Train. Industrial Heart of Russia” will introduce the younger generation to the industrial potential, cultural and tourist heritage of the Ural Federal District and the Perm Territory. The project participants will take part in solving the real problems of the industrial sector of the economy, tourism, education and science of the Urals. The events will be held on the territory of Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk regions and Perm Territory in April 2 -16, 2018. The project is carried out by the ANE "ZVEZDA" with the grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the Foundation for Presidential Grants.
