Ulan-Ude locomotive repair plant (a member of Locomotive technologies LLC) completed repair of the 30-thousandth locomotive. Solemn celebration devoted to the anniversary took place on September 2, 2016.
An outstanding achievement of the Ulan-Ude locomotive repair plant was put on the Book of records of Russia. It has become one of the memorable pages in the history of the company and of the Republic of Buryatia.
The event was attended by top officials of the Republic of Buryatia, the leaders of Locomotive technologies and Russian Railways, as well as partners of the plant from Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
Deputy General Director of Locomotive technologies on plant repair Aleksandr Mavrin:
"Ulan-Ude locomotive repair plant is a key repair facility for Russian Railways. Locomotive fleet improvement program is running on the base of the plant. Almost 6 thousand employees have contributed to bringing this achievement. All together we managed to obtain excellent results.”
It is a locomotive No. 142 (2ES5K) of Ermak family that made 30 thousandth anniversary. Ulan-Ude locomotive repair plant started to service this type of traction rolling stock at 2012. The anniversary engine was built at Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive plant in December 2009. It is assigned to Smolyaninovo depot of Far Eastern Railways. By the time of his first medium repair at Ulan-Ude locomotive repair plant his mileage was 1 million 11 thousand 727 kilometers.
