22.08.2016 | Zheldorremmash will receive an additional order for the repair of locomotives

Zheldorremmash JSC (a member of Locomotive technologies LLC) will receive an additional order for the repair of locomotives in the second half of 2016. The cost of work is estimated at 3,277 billion rubles.

Five locomotive repair plants will get an extra workload under the program:

• Chelyabinsk electric locomotive repair plant + 128 sections of locomotives
• Astrakhan locomotive repair plant + 32 sections
• Rostov electric locomotive repair plant + 49 sections
• Orenburg locomotive repair plant + 38 sections
• Ussuriisk locomotive repair plant + 53 sections

Previously approved order quantity for the needs of Russian Railways by 2016 was the 1981 section of the locomotive which is 17% less compared by 2015.

A cutback in orders at Zheldorremmash enterprises resulted in incomplete loading that threatened staff reduction and the introduction of part-time work at several plants.

After the approval of an additional program most of Zheldorremmash plants will work to the full extent of its power.
